MK Consulting is an accounting and finance consulting company servicing clients in and around the San Francisco bay area. Founded in 2012, MK Consulting specializes in Sarbanes-Oxley 404 (SOX), revenue accounting, internal audit, forensic accounting, and SEC Reporting. MK Consulting’s clients include small start-up corporations and large publicly traded companies in a variety of industries.

MK Consulting provides both consulting services and temporary assistance depending on each client’s needs. Whether there is a special project, an employee out on maternity/paternity leave, or just need assistance in completing day-to-day activities by desirable deadlines, MK Consulting will provide its clients with experience to achieve these requirements.

Matthew Knott started MK Consulting in 2012 and is the Principal of the company. Matthew services or has serviced a number of companies, including: FireEye, Inc., Glu Mobile, Inc., Logitech, Inc., MoSys, Inc., and RingCentral, Inc.

Prior to launching MK Consulting, Matthew was a partner at Ty & Associates, LLP developing business relationships and providing a number of services including, but not limited to: SOX compliance, internal audit, external reporting (public and private), technical accounting, audit preparedness, external audit assistance, and forensic accounting. Clients serviced consisted of LECG Corporation, Delivery Agent, Inc., Glu Mobile, Inc., Logitech, Inc., Blackhawk Network, Inc., and Cannata, Ching & O’Toole, LLP.

In the beginning of his career, Matthew was an external auditor for KPMG, LLP and completed numerous audits mainly consisting of smaller non-public corporations. Some clients serviced while at KPMG included: Levi Strauss & Company, Evotec/Renovis, Inc., Conco Cement Company, Mainstream Energy Corporation, San Francisco International Airport, Del Monte Corporation, Santa Clara University, Wells Fargo, and Dowling Company.

Matthew received his Bachelors of Science with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from California Polytechnic State University in 2004. Matthew enjoys both participating in and watching sports as well as other outdoor recreational activities.
